The Basic Principle and Characteristics of Ceramic Membrane

1. The basic principle of ceramic membrane

The ceramic membrane wall is densely covered with micropores, and under the action of pressure, the raw material liquid flows in the membrane tube or outside the membrane. Small molecules (or liquids) permeate through the membrane, and macromolecular substances (or solids) are trapped by the membrane to achieve separation, concentration, purification, and environmental protection. The surface of the ceramic membrane is densely covered with micropores. According to the pore diameter of a certain membrane, the permeability of the material molecules is different, and the pressure difference between the two sides of the membrane is the driving force. The membrane is a filter medium under a certain pressure. When the liquid flows through the surface of the membrane, only water, inorganic salts, and small molecular substances are allowed to permeate through the membrane, and macromolecules such as suspended solids, glue, and microorganisms in the water are prevented from passing.
According to the different quality of raw water, there are many raw water pretreatment methods. The use of ultrafiltration membrane to treat raw water not only has excellent interception ability and stable water flux characteristics, but also has strong anti-pollution and impact resistance. The tubular ceramic membrane is one of the ultrafiltration membrane products. Correct selection of tubular ceramic membranes can provide stable and qualified water supply for the project follow-up system.

2. Characteristics of ceramic membrane

①Filter level
It has high separation accuracy. The filter level is optional. The treatment effect is very stable, and the long-term operation interception performance is unchanged. According to the different needs of customers, different types of tubular ceramic membranes can be selected.

②Flux and quality
It can maintain long-term stable operation under high-flux, and the obtained products are of good quality. It has changed the shortcomings of traditional filtration methods such as low clarity, incomplete sterilization, continuous production, high labor intensity and low product quality.

③Anti-pollution and retention performance
It has strong anti-pollution ability, no secondary dissolution in the separation process, and the product quality is guaranteed. The tubular ceramic membrane is prepared by a special process at a high temperature. Therefore, the pores of the ceramic membrane do not cause swelling of the membrane body or the pores of the membrane due to long-term exposure to high temperatures or acid or alkali systems.

④High temperature resistance, wide pH tolerance and good oxidation resistance
The tubular ceramic membrane has good high temperature resistance and can handle high temperature liquid, and is steam inversion regeneration and high temperature in situ sterilization. It has high mechanical strength, wide application range of PH, good acid resistance, alkali resistance, organic solvent resistance and strong oxidant performance.

⑤Cross-flow filtration mode, light film contamination, stable film performance
The ceramic membrane uses a new cross-flow filtration method different from conventional filtration. This kind of filtration method is not easy to form pollution on the membrane surface, which can effectively alleviate the ubiquitous phenomenon of concentration polarization in the membrane field, and maintain a long-term stable high treatment throughput of the system.
