Membrane technology has developed rapidly in recent years. More and more industries begin to apply membrane separation technology. In the field of reuse of municipal wastewater, the "double membrane" process is prevalent, which combines two different membrane devices to form a reuse treatment process. According to the different reuse areas, the types of membranes can be a combination of microfiltration, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis.

In view of the reuse of chemical wastewater, the application of membrane technology is more diversified based on the recycling of wastewater, or the "zero discharge" environmental pressure, or in order to control the pollution of some difficult wastewater.
